The Role

We’re looking for an experienced HR Manager who’s looking to take on their next challenge in a fast-paced environment with a rapidly growing team. Our ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and eager to have a positive impact throughout the business. You will work alongside the leadership team, and be the main point of contact for HR-related queries. 

 

Daily Responsibilities

Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve supporting our team across all HR matters while building robust processes to ensure that we continue to deliver best-in-class services to our clients. You will play a key role in developing the company culture, and improving the workplace for everyone. This will include, but is not limited to:

  • Management and execution of all people-related processes, including recruitment, new starters, leavers, reviews, and further development.
  • Manage and assist with ER-related issues.
  • Respond to day-to-day queries and requests from employees (e.g. pay, attendance, policy guidance)
  • Management and upkeep of employee records, and our HR systems.
  • Manage our monthly payroll alongside our accounting partners.
  • Assist with the general management of the office.
  • Collect data, derive metrics, and produce reports for the leadership team.
  • Ensuring company-wide compliance with processes, data protection requirements, employment regulations, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Achieved a CIPD Level 3, or working towards a CIPD Level 5 or equivalent (potential for further training to level 7)
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal (English required, Welsh is a bonus).
  • Excellent attention to detail, ability to manage your own workload, and organisational skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of Employment Law, and HR Practice knowledge.
  • Experience with managing people, teams and working as a part of one.
  • Be able to commute and be present in our Swansea Office.

Nice to Haves

  • CIPD Level 7 or equivalent.
  • Experience in a stand-alone HR role within the gaming, media, or technology industry.
  • Commercially minded with a proactive mindset.
  • An understanding and passion for the gaming and media industry.
